The Rock Wood Fired Pizza & Spirits

So last night I went with Stephen to eat at The Rock for wood fired pizza. At the end, we didn't crave much for Pizza...I know! silly, eh?
Anyhow, we ordered: Brown Sugar Mozz Bread, Chipotle Wings, and last Slow Ride (Tender pieces of shrimp, chicken, hot sausage, dry-aged pepperoni, roasted peppers and crushed garlic in a Cajun cream sauce, topped with mozzarella cheese) PS: Sorry for the bad quality pic :(

I think the appetizers were sooo good, the pizza was an OK pizza, but maybe because we chose the white sauce or not the right one. The wings were OSM! They had a kick at the end of spicy, and the sweet sauce w/it was pretty good. The bread w/cheese and brown sugar was an interesting flavor. I liked it better w/the tomato sauce than ranch. Although both came pretty good.
About the pizza, Idk something was missing.

Also, in their drink menu, they have fun drinks. I ordered the bucket (Tropical blend of 5 premium Cruzan Rums served in a freakin’ bucket!)

Peruvian Breakfast

Its been a while since I had a Peruvian food since I was back from Lima. Yesterday I decided to go back to this Latino grocery store, and my surprised was to find it even bigger. The best part is the amazing ingredients Peruvians are starting to export.
For my surprised I found fresh Chicken and Pork Tamale, and Salchicha de Huacho. OMG! It was soooo good. So Breakfast today I did salchicha de huacho w/eggs, tamales and empanadas... YUMMMM!!!!

1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon baking soda
3eggs
2 cups white sugar

2 cups grated zucchini
1 cup chopped pecans

Whipped cream, for serving
Zucchini ribbons, for serving

Preheat oven at 350 degrees F. Grease (2) 9 by 5-inch loaf pans.
Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, spices and baking soda.
In a large bowl, beat eggs until light and fluffy. Add sugar, and continue beating until well blended. Stir in oil, vanilla, zucchini, pecans, chocolate chips, and orange zest. Stir in sifted ingredients. Pour into prepared loaf pans.
Bake for 50 minutes, or until a skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean. Remove loaves from pans and cool. Chill before slicing. Serve with whipped cream and ribbons of zucchini.
