the BBQ's

So I went to couple of BBQ's there.
1st one, it basically the traditional BBQ there. Cow's heart (), tripe, and cow's stomach. They marinated w/different spices and then barbecued.

Picarones is dessert that usually are sold w/this BBQ. They are made from sweet potato flour, and deep fried, then covered in honey

This following BBQ is supposed to be for two.

And to finalized, here is my Coca Sour. It was pretty good. It supposed to be like Pisco Sour w/Coca Leaf flavor.

My Uncle's cooking

So when I was there my uncle spoiled me w/his cooking
One day he cooked me Guinea Pig. Yeah, as you read it. GUINEA PIG! He deep fried it and then added a chilli peanut sauce

To finalize this piece, he cooked me my favorite fish. He cooked me Pejesapo. And actually this is the 1st time I've seen it this big. He cooked it steamed w/mushrooms, ginger, chinese sausage and soy sauce. PLease enjoy the pictures.

The SuperMarket

Mangooooo

Chirimoya - Creamy and Sweet, this a 1Kg

Yellow Chilli, this is the chilli to use for Papa a la Huancaina, or Aji de Gallina, or the cream for the Tiradito. This is a very popular chilli to use.

Yuca Root

Carrots, I took this picture because I forgot how different they look from the markets in the states. They are short and thicker, whereas in the states they are long and thin...

Papaya: so the only reason I took this picture was to show how big the papayas can grow in there.

Purple Corn: this is to make Chicha, a tipical beverage from  Lima. It's usually boiled with some cinamon and cloves. After you add sugar and lime juice. The best is when its cold.

Here is Chicha

Finally: Passion Fruit.

Part of the sandwich is sweet potato. This place is an old whole in the wall. Me and my friend from HS used to go there after school

Lima - Peru

So for the next week I'll be updating again on my blogg and everything will come from my Lima-Peru trip. It's been a while, and I have taken lots of pics, but no post. So I'll start posting some now.

I wanna introduce you to one of my favorite fruits here in Lima. It's name is Granadilla. Love this fruit. Its always sooo sweet and when you eat it cold, it's the best!

So what you can see from here, is what you eat. And YES! you eat the seeds. I know it doesn't really look appealing, but taste sooo good.

Here in the back you can see it how it looks as a whole. I wish I can put some flavors now so you could give it a try :)

Also Today is my uncle's bday and as his own present he decided to treat him self w/roaste pork and pig's ear. I cant tell you how it is prepared not because it may be a strange but because IDK! lol

here is the roasted pork

here is the pig's ear

My last dish I'd like to introduce is deep fried fish roe...OMG! it was long since last time I ate it. It was sooo good and crunchy and all... no description...
