Lima - Peru

So for the next week I'll be updating again on my blogg and everything will come from my Lima-Peru trip. It's been a while, and I have taken lots of pics, but no post. So I'll start posting some now.

I wanna introduce you to one of my favorite fruits here in Lima. It's name is Granadilla. Love this fruit. Its always sooo sweet and when you eat it cold, it's the best!

So what you can see from here, is what you eat. And YES! you eat the seeds. I know it doesn't really look appealing, but taste sooo good.

Here in the back you can see it how it looks as a whole. I wish I can put some flavors now so you could give it a try :)

Also Today is my uncle's bday and as his own present he decided to treat him self w/roaste pork and pig's ear. I cant tell you how it is prepared not because it may be a strange but because IDK! lol

here is the roasted pork

here is the pig's ear

My last dish I'd like to introduce is deep fried fish roe...OMG! it was long since last time I ate it. It was sooo good and crunchy and all... no description...

I served it with Garlic Bread, and Salad (greens, tomatos, and the dressing was a based of yogurt, garlic, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper)

Hope you guys enjoy this, as I did.... :)

Bizarro Italian Cafe in Seattle

So after a long day of shopping with a good friend, I suggested to try this new place that I was recommend. And it was not dissapointing at all. We went to this small Italian Restaurant up north of Seattle

So my friend order the Clam Linguini: Manila clams tossed with house made linguini in white-wine butter sauce with crispy pancetta and roasted jalapeƱo.

And I ordered Puttanesca with Prawns: A popular dish with the ladies of pleasure- fresh house made linguini tossed with a spicy sauce of nicoise olives, capers, anchovies, garlic and local Mama Lil’s goat horn peppers, and mixed with their world famous marinara.

Both dishes came with salad so we decided to go w/the Caprese salad (Organic heirloom cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and torn basil tossed with virgin olive oil and flor de sel.)

The dishes werent pretty big but the size was right.

Ramen

So Last nite, my girlfriend and her bf invited me to have a food expediction. So we decided to try this Ramen place that we found one time by accident. The place has a good atmosphere and service. The food was awesome! for $14.95 I got: salad, Spicy Tuna Roll, Tempura Shrimp and Vegetables and my main course: Spicy Seafood Ramen.

Not bad for an accident eh? The food was very good. Actually this order, 3 people w/my appetite we could easily shared it and be satisfied. If you would like to try it the restaurant name is TAO Cusine in Bellevue.

PS: actually I forgot "as usual" to take pictures before start eating :P
All the portions were big. It came 8 pieces of roll and tempura

long time of no food... food comes... LOL

Oh! it's been weeks since last time I posted something, but sometimes life becomes so hectic that you eat just to eat or sometimes you simply dont eat. Or in my case, I just eat cereal...

Anyhow, last weeked I had the Last Summer BBQ at a friends house. I did Haupia for dessert

Haupia is a dessert that I learned to eat it while I lived in Hawaii. This is a coconut dessert if you like dessert and to make it look pretty although the pictures doesnt help much, I decorate them w/ whip cream, blackberries and raspberries and mint.

Also as part of another dessert that I didnt make. It was a philipino dessert. It's called Halo Halo. So traslation means  Mix Mix:

Basically is a shaved ice, with condenced milk and Taro Ice-cream in this case. But so far I heard they put whatever they like on this street dessert in the phillipines.

Hope Sweet Tooth people enjoy this sections as I did... or my stomach did... hehehehee
