Food Fair - Puyallup, WA

So yesterday we decided to spend some time at Puyallup Fair. It was fun! It was a big place and to do anything from playing games, to go shopping, eating, seeing people and they even had a small farm... LOL

Anyhow going straight to the point of this blog, so... my friend and I decided to start w/a hamburger... what a hamburger! I personally dont know if I was hungry or what else, but tasted OSM!
This hamburger came from a place the Earthquake... it was huge and came w/onions and cheese... yummy

Look at the melting cheese!!! it was actually a good choice... After that she and I decided to go for the sweets... and we didnt stop by choosing one. We chose THREE!!!!
1) Deep fried twinkie, like you are reading it... DEEP FRIED!

2) Churro and 3) Funnel Cake and and AND 4) Two glasses of wine each :)

To finalize our gourmet day, we walked all day there and shopped and shopped... so bad for us but we are trying tohelp this economy :P

Ramen

So Last nite, my girlfriend and her bf invited me to have a food expediction. So we decided to try this Ramen place that we found one time by accident. The place has a good atmosphere and service. The food was awesome! for $14.95 I got: salad, Spicy Tuna Roll, Tempura Shrimp and Vegetables and my main course: Spicy Seafood Ramen.

Not bad for an accident eh? The food was very good. Actually this order, 3 people w/my appetite we could easily shared it and be satisfied. If you would like to try it the restaurant name is TAO Cusine in Bellevue.

PS: actually I forgot "as usual" to take pictures before start eating :P
All the portions were big. It came 8 pieces of roll and tempura

long time of no food... food comes... LOL

Oh! it's been weeks since last time I posted something, but sometimes life becomes so hectic that you eat just to eat or sometimes you simply dont eat. Or in my case, I just eat cereal...

Anyhow, last weeked I had the Last Summer BBQ at a friends house. I did Haupia for dessert

Haupia is a dessert that I learned to eat it while I lived in Hawaii. This is a coconut dessert if you like dessert and to make it look pretty although the pictures doesnt help much, I decorate them w/ whip cream, blackberries and raspberries and mint.

Also as part of another dessert that I didnt make. It was a philipino dessert. It's called Halo Halo. So traslation means  Mix Mix:

Basically is a shaved ice, with condenced milk and Taro Ice-cream in this case. But so far I heard they put whatever they like on this street dessert in the phillipines.

Hope Sweet Tooth people enjoy this sections as I did... or my stomach did... hehehehee

Brunch @ Angel and Jack's house

So my holiday today(labor day) was awesome. Spent my brunch time with Angel and Jack. So Angel made a really nice quiche and yogurt fruit...

So this looks great eh?  The quiche was sooo smooth and tasteful, and what to say about the yogurt fruit...
As for me, I cooked burrito breakfast and lomo saltado sandwich

And to end my date w/them, Jack was soooo nice to make me this beautiful chocolate cake

Conclusion: Who needs to go to a restaurant when you can meet w/friends and cook... yummy!

Dinner @ Maggianos

So yesterday I invited Malena to try this new venue for peruvian food. As soon as we got there, it was packed. I've never seen so many Peruvians in a single place since I moved to Seattle. The only thing we were able to get was Cuzqueña (Peruvian Beer) and Chicha (purple corn juice)... YES, Purple corn... see next picture

Anyhow, we couldnt get any food so, we decided to eat somewhere else. ITALIAN!
So we started with a salad: Maggiano's Salad: Iceberg and romaine lettuce, crumbled bleu cheese, crispy Prosciutto, red onions, tossed in House Dressing.

Then Malena ordered Beef Braciole: Beef cutlets stuffed and rolled with ground beef, Italian vegetables and asiago cheese. Slow-cooked to tender perfection in a Red Wine Tomato sauce and served with Pappardelle Pasta with garlic butter.

I ordered the Zitty Chicken and Shrimp Garlic.

We barely finished our plates and we ordered HALF portion only. BUT we couldnt recist to order dessert so we did. We order the dessert platter plus 1... I know... we are sooo bad... so the dessert was Creme Brule, Homemade Profiteroles, Tiramisu, Cheesecake, Apple Crostada and Caramel Sauce,  Chocolate Zuccotto Cake, and the dessert of the day (Peanut Butter chocolate cake)

Anyhow, this is how we ended lunch/dinner at Maggianos yesterday. Overall the food was great. The half portions are enough to feed two people... at least two girls... hehehehe

Two Layer Pizza

So? does it look yummy? does it taste good? Actually, it does. Its a pretty good pizza. I ordered the stuffed 5-meat pizza. The first layer of topping was: Canadian bacon, pepperoni, Italian sausage and cheese, on the 2nd layer was crispy bacon and mooooreeee cheese.... Hmmm....
You buy it fresh, and take it home and after 30mins is done! And, btw it's not really expensive... paid only $16 including taxes from Papa Murphy.
I personally liked a lot the crust since it doesn't feel grease. I would give it a shot if you never tried it
